Drone

Drone is a remote controlled flying quadcopter helicopter built by the French company parrot. The drone is designed to be controlled by mobile or tablet operating systems such as the supported iOS or Android within their respective apps or the unofficial software available for Windows devices, Samnsung BADA and Symbian devices.

The airframe of the Drone, constructed of nylon and carbon fiber parts, measures 57 cm (22 in) across. Two interchangeable hulls were supplied with the airframe, one designed for indoor and one for external flight. The indoor hull is made from foam, and encases the circumference of the blades for protection. The outdoors use hull is made from lightweight plastic, and allows for increased maneuvrability. In total, the AR.Drone has six degrees of freedom Inside the airframe, a range of sensors assist flight, enabling the interface used by pilots to be simpler, and making advanced flight easier. The onboard computer runs a linux operating system, and communicates with the pilot through a self-generated Wi-Fi hotspot.

Technical specifications

  • Interfaces: USB and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g
  • Front camera: VGA sensor with 93° lens
  • Vertical camera: 64° lens, recording up to 60fps

Since the launch of the Drone, around half a million units have been sold. It received a 2010 CES Innovations award for Electronic Gaming Hardware.

Apple Watch

The Apple Watch is a smartwatch developed by Apple Inc. It incorporates fitness tracking and health-oriented capabilities as well as integration with iOS and other Apple products and services. The device is available in three variants: Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch, and Apple Watch Edition. The Watch is distinguished by different combinations of cases and first or third party interchangeable bands. Apple Watch relies on a wirelessly connected iPhone (5 or above) to perform many of its default functions (e.g. calling and texting).

Apple Watch was first unveiled on September 9, 2014 during a press event which also saw the introduction of the iPhone 6. Speaking about the device, Apple CEO Tim Cook explained that Apple Watch was "a new, intimate way to communicate from your wrist, and a comprehensive health and fitness device.

It is compatible with the iPhone 5 or later models running iOS 8.2 or later, through the use of bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

Apple Watch runs WatchOS, which is based around a home screen with circular app icons. The OS can be navigated using the touchscreen or the crown on the side of the watch. Apple Watch must be paired with an iPhone 5 or later running iOS 8.2 or later; this version of iOS introduced the Apple Watch app, which is used to advertise Apple Watch, pair one with an iPhone, and customize settings and loaded apps.
It is capable of receiving notifications, messages, and phone calls via a paired iPhone. "Glances" allow users to swipe between pages containing Widget-like displays of information. WatchOS also supports Handoff to send content from Apple Watch to an iOS or OS X device,[and act as an viewfinder for an iPhone camera, Siri is also available for voice commands, although it is not capable of responding with voice prompts.

The Apple Watch quickly became the best-selling wearable device, with the shipment of 4.2 million smartwatches in the second quarter of 2015, according to analyst firm Canalys.

Apple iPad

Apple's iPad wasn't the first tablet computer, but it's the most popular: 3 million iPads were sold in the first 80 days they were available.

It is an IOS-based line of tablet computers designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The first iPad was released on April 3, 2010; the most recent iPad models are the iPad Air 2, released on October 22, 2014, and the iPad mini 4, released on September 9, 2015. The user interface is built around the device's multi touchscreen, including a virtual keyboard. The iPad includes built-in Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity on select models. As of January 2015, there have been over 250 million iPads sold.

An iPad can shoot video, take photos, play music, and perform Internet functions such as web-browsing and emailing. Other functions – games, reference, GPS navigation, social networking, etc. – can be enabled by downloading and installing apps.

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs said in a 1983 speech that the company's strategy is really simple. What we want to do is we want to put an incredibly great computer in a book that you can carry around with you and learn how to use in 20 minutes ... and we really want to do it with a radio link in it so you don’t have to hook up to anything and you’re in communication with all of these larger databases and other computers.

In the last quarter of 2013, there were 26 million iPads sold, an Apple record, compared to 22.9 million in the last quarter of 2012 and 21.42 million in the last quarter of 2014.

Segway

The segway is a two - wheeled, self-balancing, battery powered electric vehicle which was invented by DEAN KAMEN.

The technology part that it handles is it balances with the help of dual computers that run proprietary software, two tilt sensors, and five gyroscopic sensors . The servo drive motors rotate the wheels forwards or backwards as needed for balance or propulsion. The rider controls forward and backward movement by leaning the Segway relative to the combined center of mass of the rider and Segway, by holding the control bar closer to or farther from their body. The Segway detects the change in the balance point, and adjusts the speed at which it is balancing the rider accordingly. On older models, steering is controlled by a twist grip on the left handlebar, which simply varies the speeds between the two motors, rotating the Segway PT (a decrease in the speed of the  left wheel would turn the Segway PT to the left). Newer models enable the use of tilting the handle bar to steer.

Segways perform best in areas with adequate sidewalks, curb cuts at intersections, and ramps. They are used in some theme parks by visitors and employees. Angel island state park, in San Francisco Bay in California, offers Segway tours, but prohibits personal Segways except as needed by disabled visitors. The special police forces trained to protect the public during the 2008 summer olympics used the Segway for mobility.

A version of the Segway i2 is being marketed to the emergency medical services community. Equipped with light bars and a variety of hard and soft cases, it is sealed against wet conditions, and rated for 24 miles (39 kilometres) per charge.

The cost of segway is
X2 SE - £4,995
x2T SE - £4,995
X2 SE camo - £5,195
